"The Angel of Spring"...
A female Spring Azure (Celastrina argiolus), as known as a common blue or holly blue. With a wingspan of about 1-inch, it is one of the earliest butterflies to emerge, sometimes appearing even when snow is still on the ground. There are two or more generations per year.
