"Shadows of Time"...

The time element of this photograph is the 200-second exposure, but what's interesting is the shadows across the water from the trees behind me. The shadows appear as they were a window into another landscape. Some say, you can't see the forest for the trees, but what if you can see the forest through the water?...
There's much one could say about this photograph. This is another which the more you look, the more you see.

1957...

If you could travel back to 1957, you may just see what you see here. A room relatively untouched, the wallpaper now barely clinging to the walls, furniture still ornate with wood accents, and a like-new portable 21-inch GE television. Viewing this photograph, you may begin to realize the simplicity of family entertainment in this era. This is the front family room of my uncle's homestead near Hope, Arkansas. I also photographed this in black-and-white/infared, but like the mood of the color and sunlight coming through the window. The GE TV is the Model 21T056, which was manufactured in 1957 and sold for $178 new.

"A Heavenly New Moon"...

10 years ago, I photographed this crescent moon setting in front of the Christ of the Ozarks statue.

Dane's Pony Farm...

On a cold day in November, 2003, I photographed this old barn. Within a few months, it fell to the ground. I'm glad I took the time to spend a cold morning photographing it and it's tree companion.
