"Tufted Flight"...
The Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) in flight. This is a songbird that has a wingspan around 10 inches but only weighs about 1 ounce. This species’ dependence on dead wood for their homes is one reason why it’s important to allow dead trees to remain in forests rather than cutting them down.

"The Chase Is On"...
It's a challenge to get good quality in-flight butterfly photos of a single butterfly, but to photograph two butterflies chasing each other is more rare. Patience, observation and experience with photographing butterflies helped me. A low angle produced an environmental portrait of these two deep in their environment.
