"Use Low Gear"...


Twenty years ago, I was cruising up Pikes Peak mountain, near Colorado Springs, Colorado. As you can see, there is no guardrail. Since I was driving slow enough, and little traffic around, I stopped at a curve in the road to get this shot. Pikes Peak reaches over 14,000 feet above mean sea level. As you can tell from this photograph, I was above the timberline.
