This Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) found an ideal vantage point to scan the horizon for prey. This was actually a challenging photograph due to the thick foliage between myself and this raptor. I had to gain some trust from the eagle as I positioned myself to photograph through the dense foliage. There are areas of this photograph that appear soft-focused due to the foliage blocking the full view. Hope you enjoy.
